Global distribution: Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama. Records: R. Aguilar 1100 (MO). Uses: food, Firewood. Conservation status: Endangered (EN), B1+2c ver 2.3 (1994).

Global distribution: Mexico to Bolivia, Greater Antilles, Lesser Antilles, Lesser Antilles. Records: C. Hamilton 3633 (MO), D. Solano 2916 (INB), E. Alfaro 5518 (BM, INB, MO), R. Aguilar 1083 (INB, MO). Uses: Firewood. Regional conservation status: Near Threatened (NT).
