Distribution in PILA 700–2400 m, low elevation mixed forest, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest, cloud forest, low elevation oak forest. Global distribution: Mexico to Ecuador. Records: A. Soto 1247 ( INB), D. Solano 2902 ( INB) .
