Terrestrial herbs. Distribution in PILA – 800 m, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest. Global distribution: Elevation unknown. Endemic to Costa Rica. Records: A. Rodríguez 11166 (INB, MO).

Material of this species was identified as a likely new species by Mike Grayum (Pers. Comm.).
