Type: ― SOUTH AFRICA. Prieska [Northern Cape Prov.]: September 1931, Bryant 851 (holotype K000243975 !; wrongly filed in JSTOR Global Plants as the type of S. tuberculata ) .

Type: ― SOUTH-WEST AFRICA [ NAMIBIA ]: Dornpforte, December 1912, Dinter 2684 (holotype PRE-0369290-0!).

Notes on Salsola tuberculata var. tomentosa : ― The type specimen (Dinter 2684) is filed as ‘ Holotype of Salsola tuberculata ’ in JSTOR Global Plants.
