Basionym: ― Salsola verdoorniae Toelken in Journal of South African Botany 39: 233, Fig. 1 (1973).

Type: ― SOUTH AFRICA: Cape Prov. [Western Cape Prov.]: 3321 CC, Dist. Ladismith, Farm Springfontein , 11 December 1968, Tölken 1656 (holotype BOL non vidi; probably lost; C. Klak ( BOL) pers. comm.) ; isotype LE-00011933!).

Salsola eragrostioides C.A.Sm. , in schedis (W.F. Barker 9942 NBG-81685!).

Distribution: ― South Africa (WC): Western Little Karoo.
