Type : ― SOUTH-WEST AFRICA [ NAMIBIA ]. Spencer Bay-Nordhuk: 12 Jan 1974, Giess & Robinson 13180 (holotype M-0107433!; isotypes PRE-0654398-0!, PRE-0537055-0!, PRE-0537057-0!, WIND!) .

Notes: ― The collection Giess & Robinson 13181 deposited in WIND and PRE and collected at the same locality ( South-West Africa [ Namibia ], Spencer Bay-Nordhuk an Gesteinrändern unweit Strand, 12 January 1974) is considered an isotype of Salsola dolichostigma by http://plants.jstor.org (accessed on 21 January 2011), which is unwarranted.
