Basionym: ― Salsola glabrescens var. apiculata C.A.Sm. ex Botsch. View in CoL in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 11: 143 (1974d).

Notes: ― The name ‘ S. apiculata ’ was suggested by C. A. Smith (September 1928) in a note on the sheet of the holotype. Botschantzev (1974d) clearly based the name of his variety on the Smith’s suggestion ; hence C.A. Smith should also be cited as author.
