3.1.3. Stromitrema spp

Stromitrema koshewnikowi (Skrjabin and Massino, 1925) was sequenced by Hildebrand et al. (2019) and Aldhoun et al. (2018). Distinction of this species was confirmed by sequencing four additional individuals from H. rustica , a primary host of this species in Central Europe ( Table 1, Figs. 1 , Fig. 3 , Fig. 4 ). A morphologically similar, but not identical, helminth was found in Acrocephalus scirpaceus . Molecular analysis confirmed that this is a new Stromitrema species with only two known individuals collected from reed warblers ( Stromitrema sp. n. 2, described below as Stromitrema acrocephali , Table 1; Fig. 1 , nodal support 97%; Fig. 2 , nodal support 95%; Fig. 4 , nodal support 99%).
