Genus Lamprolonchaea View in CoL

Note 21. Lamprolonchaea badiceps . Blacket & Malipatil (2010: 48) stated “ Pitkin (1989: 476) listed L. badiceps from Victoria and New South Wales, Australia without citing a source. No records of this species in Australia, or Australian specimens, were located in the current study”.

Note 22. Lamprolonchaea metatarsata . There were two females in the original type series and McAlpine (1970: 442) designated one of these as the lectotype with the second as a paralectotype stating that the second “is much smaller than the lectotype but appears to be the same species” McAlpine (1970) illustrated the male terminalia of L. metatarsata (Figs 22, 23, 24), presumably from associated specimens in the Kertész collection although this is not stated.

Note 23. Kovalev & Morge (1984: 252) listed Lamprolonchaea sinensis in parenthesis in the Palearctic catalogue. In this catalogue it is considered as part of the Indomalayan fauna.

Note 24. The lectotype male of Lamprolonchaea smaragdi in BMNH has not been dissected leading to the slight possibility that another species in this externally similar genus may be involved.
