Hylecoetus fuscipennis Lea, 1912: 466 . Type, ♀, SAM. Examined by Wheeler (1986).

Diagnosis. Australymexylon fuscipennis differs from A. australe in its lighter colour, especially at the elytral bases and males with strongly serrate antenna, smaller setose pads on segment VIII and much smaller penis.
