7. Eudonia lijiangensis sp. n.
( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 2 – 5 , 17 View FIGURES 14 – 19 , 28 View FIGURES 28 – 30 )
Type material. China: Holotype: 3, Lijiang (26°52ʹN, 100°14ʹE), Yunnan Province, 21.ix.1935, leg. H. Höne (genitalia slide No. LWC08128) ( ZFMK). Paratypes: 1 3, 1 Ƥ, same data as holotyp except dated 26–27.viii.1934 (genitalia slide No. LWC08129) ( ZFMK).
Diagnosis. This species is similar to E. apicifusca Sasaki, 1999 , but can be distinguished by the valva with basal part wider than distal part and straight ventrally in the male genitalia, and by the ductus bursae holding three loops in the female genitalia. In E. apicifusca , the basal part of the valva is much narrower than the distal part, the ventral margin of valva is concave at one third, and the ductus bursae has two loops.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 2 – 5 ): Forewing length 9.0–10.0 mm. Frons and vertex pale brown mixed with white. Labial palpus pale brown; first segment white ventrally at base. Maxillary palpus pale brown, tip mixed with white. Antenna with scapus pale brown dorsally, white ventrally; flagellomeres with dorsal surface blackish brown and greyish white, ventral surface pale brown. Patagium pale brown. Thorax pale brown mixed with white. Tegula pale brown to blackish brown, posterior margin with long, white and greyish scales. Forewing covered with dense blackish brown scales; antemedian line yellowish white, inconspicuous; antemedian stigmata blackish brown, streaklike, connected with antemedian line; distal discoidal stigma blackish brown, X-shaped, separated from blackish brown spot at costa; postmedian line yellowish white, sinuate, meeting costa perpendicularly, conspicuously dentate towards distal discoidal stigma, meeting dorsum by acute angle; subterminal line yellowish white, incurved medially; fringe yellowish white, subbasal line blackish brown, distal half mixed with pale brown. Hindwing yellowish white; fringe yellowish white, subbasal line pale brown. Abdomen pale brown.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 14 – 19 ): Uncus ovate, notched at middle on posterior margin. Gnathos slender, blunt at apex. Valva broad basally; distal two thirds slightly narrowed, parallel-sided dorsoventrally, rounded at apex. Juxta broad basally, narrowed towards bluntly rounded apex. Phallus curved slightly, as long as valva.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 28 – 30 ): Papilla anale ovate, notched posteriorly; about half as long as apophysis posterior. Tergite eight about half length of apophysis anterior. Ostium bursae about four times as wide as colliculum. Antrum funnel-shaped, covered with dense granules. Colliculum about one third length of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae curved, looped three times anteriorly. Corpus bursae rounded, covered with dense tiny spines; signum rounded, placed at middle of corpus bursae.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, Lijiang in Yunnan Province.
