DISTRIBUTION. — Eastern Indian Ocean. Pacific Ocean, from Kii Peninsula ( Japan) to the Philippines ( Tsuchiya 2000). Coral Sea , New Caledonia and Loyalty Islands, empty shells in 15-80 m. Range extension in the southwest Pacific .
REMARKS. — Protoconch of 3.5 whorls, 710 Μm high and 740 Μm wide at the base. Protoconch-I of about 1 whorl, sculptured with pustules over the entire surface. Protoconch-II of about 2.5 whorls, with 2 spiral keels, sculptured by a series of subsutural threads and a series of similar threads over each keel (the abapical series opisthocline); the threads tend to fuse giving rise to sinuous collabral riblets. A diffuse granulation is present in the interspaces. Sinusigera lip evident at the end of the protoconch.
