Subadyte Pettibone, 1969 View in CoL
Fauvel (1923) synonymized Hermadion fragile Claparède, 1868 with Hermadion pellucidum ( Ehlers, 1864) and referred the species to Scalisetosus pellucidus , due to the presence of semi-lunar pockets in the neurochaetae. We follow Pettibone (1969) who established the genus Subadyte with the type species Subadyte pellucida , characterized by a rather short body with up to 40 segments, the lack of cephalic peaks, neuropodia without supra-acicular process, neuropodial acicular lobe elongate, and neurochaetae with semi-lunar pockets and distinctly bidentate tip.
