Distribution in Iran. Iran (no locality cited) ( Shenefelt 1972; Inanç and Beyarslan 2001).
Distribution outside Iran. Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, Uzbekistan, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. Abrostola tripartita , Allophyes oxyacanthae , Polia oleracea ( Watanabe 1937) , Ennomos quercinaria , Tephrina arenacearia , Abrostola triplasia , Acronicta alni , Calophasia lunula , Heliothis peltigera , Lacanobia oleracea , Orthosia gothica , Tholera cespitis , Hemiteles moldavicus , Itoplectis alternans , Pristiphora appendiculata ( Yu et al. 2012) . It has been reported as a parasite of Autographa gamma and Singrapha circumflexa ( Tobias 1986; Yu et al. 2012).
