Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Ghahari and Fischer 2011 b as Dolichogenidea seriphia ).

Distribution outside Iran. Former Czechoslovakia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Spain, Turkey, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012), Germany ( Nixon 1972; Papp 1978), Ukraine ( Papp 2007). Host records. Bedellia ehikella , Bucculatrix cantabricella , Metzneria ehikella , Parectopa ononidis , Stigmella eberhardi ( Papp 1988; Yu et al. 2012) and Depressaria daucella ( Papp 1988) .
