Distribution in Iran. Ilam ( Ghahari et al. 2011d as Dolichogenidea sicaria ).

Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. Acrolepia autumnitella , Adoxophyes orana , Aethes francillana , Agonopterix arenella , Ancylis laetana , Archips rosana , Carcharodus alceae , Chaetostomella cylindrica , Choreutis nemorana , Cochylis posterana , Cydia nigricana , Depressaria discipunctella , Diasemia reticularis , Elachista megerlella , Epiphthora melanombra , Etiella zinckenella , Eucosma aemulana , Grapholita delineana , Hedya rubiferana , Isophrictis anthemidella , I. striatella , Lobesia (Polychrosis) botrana , L. littoralis , Mompha sturnipennella , Pexicopia malvella , Plutella porrectella , P. xylostella , Scrobipalpa (Euscrobipalpa) instabilella , Scrobipalpa (Euscrobipalpa) obsoletella , Sparganothis pilleriana , Spilonota ocellana , Vanessa cardui ( Yu et al. 2012) . Also, Papp (1988) recorded this species from Bedellia somnulentella , Syringopais temperatella , Choreutis nemorana , C. pariana and Mompha nodicolella .
