Type host. Scaly thrush, Zoothera dauma (Latham) (Syn. Turdus dauma aureus Holandre ) ( Passeriformes : Turdidae )— Uchida et al. (1991).
Type locality. Japan; specific type locality unknown—Uchida et al. (1991).
Remarks. This species was originally described as Cyclocoelum toratsugumi Morishita, 1924 . It has a genital pore that is located immediately posterior to the mid-level of the pharynx (postpharyngeal) and the vitelline fields are not confluent posteriorly, placing this species in Selfcoelum . No oral or ventral sucker described—Morishita (1924).
