H. capellae ( Yamaguti, 1933) View in CoL n. comb.
Type host. Common snipe, Gallinago gallinago (Linnaeus) (Syn. Capella gallinago Linnaeus ) ( Charadriiformes : Scolopacidae ).
Type locality. Taiwan (formerly Formosa); specific type locality unknown.
Additional host. Terek sandpiper, Xenus cinereus (Güldenstädt) ( Charadriiformes : Scolopacidae )— Uchida et al. (1991).
Additional locality. Japan Uchida et al. (1991).
Remarks. Although originally described as Corpopyrum capellae Yamaguti, 1933 , this species was considered to be a synonym of Cyclocoelum (H.) tringae Stossich, 1902 (= Neohaematotrephus tringae [ Stossich, 1902] n. comb.) by Dubois (1959). It has a pretesticular ovary that forms a triangle with the diagonal testes (Haematotrephinae), the genital pore is postpharyngeal and the vitelline fields are not confluent posteriorly, placing it in Haematotrephus . No oral or ventral sucker described—Yamaguti (1933).
