Type host. Blue-crowned motmot, Momotus momota (Linnaeus) ( Coraciiformes : Momotidae ). Type locality. Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. This is likely a species that was introduced in imported exotic birds; natural host unknown.
Remarks. Rudimentary oral sucker present—Dronen et al. (2009).
