Type species: Ectatoderus kanetataki Matsumura, 1904: 131 ( Japan: Totomi ) .
Diagnosis. Comparing with other species groups of the genus Ornebius , the species group is distinguished by medial valves of male phallic complex armed with strongly sclerotized, compressed internal sclerites with acute apex and the base dorsally to support spermatophore sac ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ).
Besides the type species, the species group includes, Ornebius bimaculatus , Ornebius fuscicerci , Ornebius infuscatus , Ornebius rubidus , Ornebius vadus , Ornebius citrus , Ornebius tampines and Ornebius bioculatus .
