Erythrina fulgens
Loiseleur (1820) clearly states in the protologue that he did not see flowering plants, whereas his description is based on some handwritten notes by Delaunay. The lectotype, however, represents a flowering branchlet complete of leaves and details of flower parts. According to Krukoff (1939), who kept as distinct E. americana and E. coralloides , E. fulgens would be a synonym of the former.
