Head short; with angulate, transverse sulcus separating rostral base deeply incised, laterally leading to antennal scrobe; vertex with deep radial furrows. Eyes convex, protruding; separated from front margin of prothorax by ca. 0.8 X length of eye. Profile anteriorly with constriction. Rostrum short; dorsum densely squamose, with median sulcus; apical declivity distinct, posteriorly punctate-rugose, with sparse suberect clavate scales; dorsal profile convex. Antenna. Scape stout, squamose, with suberect scales. Funicle with articles 1 and 2 subequal. Pronotum granulate, punctate-rugose. Metanepisternum narrow. Protibia basally simple, in apical half ventrally denticulate. Venter. Procoxae approximate, separated by 0.13 X procoxal diameter; distance to apex 0.7 X distance to base of prothorax. Mesoventral process subquadrate, 0.83 X as long as posterior width. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 23b View FIGURE 23 ). Apodeme>1.59 X as long as body of penis, attached to body with flexible loop. Transfer apparatus flagelliform.
Notes. The single described species comes from a tiny island near Java. Very similar species were found on mountains of West Java.
