Idiopsis grisea Faust, 1897: 294–295 View in CoL . Type locality: Yule Isl. Description. ( Fig. 15a View FIGURE 15 ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.75–6.06 mm. Vestiture of dense appressed, grey, microgranulate scales. Elytra 1.09 X as long as wide. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 15b View FIGURE 15 ) with sides of body weakly converging to angulate apex. Endophallic sclerite boomerang-shaped, divaricate on one end.
Material examined. Type specimens. Syntypes: 1 male, Ins. Yule, Doria; condition: right front- and midleg missing; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC4046 View Materials , ( GenBank # OR557448) ( SMTD); 3 males, 1 female, “N. Guinea ”, Doria .
Notes. The gender of the homonym name Idiopsis Faust is feminine, while the replacement name Idiopsodes Thompson is masculine ( Alonso-Zarazaga & Lyal, 1999). Therefore, the correct species name is Idiopsodes griseus (Faust) .
