≡ Coprinus aureogranulatus Uljé & Aptroot (1998: 549)
Description:—Pileus 8–10 mm broad, conical or campanulate when young, then expanding pileus up to 30 mm
broad, pale yellow-brown to orange-brown (4B5–5B4), darker (5C3) at the centre, becoming gray-white (1B1) to graybrown(9D2) at margin, with sulcate striate, older crumpled. golden-yellow (3C5) veil covered on the surface. Context whitish (1A1), thin. Lamellae adnate, crowded, white(1A1), later yellow-brown to dark gray-brown (4B2–5D2), finally black (5F1). Stipe 20–40 × 1–4 mm, equal, fragile, hollow, white (1A1). Base densely covered with golden-yellow
(5A5) mycelia. Odour and taste indistinct.
Basidiospores (7.3–)7.8–9.3(–10) × (4.6)4.9–5.6(–6.1) μm, Q = 1.4–1.8, on average 8.6 × 5.3 μm, Q av = 1.7, narrowly ellipsoid or phaseoliform, smooth, thin walled, medium to rather dark red-brown (8B4) in water, olive-green
(30D5) in 5% KOH, germ pore central, 2–2.7 μm wide. Basidia 17–37 × 5–11 μm, short clavate and long medially constricted,, 4-spored, thin walled, hyaline, surrounded by 3–5 pseudoparaphyses. Cheilocystidia 32–73 × 10–20 μm, lageniform with 15–42 μm long, 5–15 μm wide neck and rounded apex, utriform or clavate, 12–20 μm broad, thin-walled and hyaline. Pleurocystidia 24–37 × 7–12 μm, lageniform, with 2–6 μm wide cylindrical neck, thin-walled, rare and hyaline. Caulocystidia 70–164 ×15–24 μm, lageniform with 49–115 μm long and 6–15 μm wide neck, rounded apex, thin-walled and hyaline. Pileocystidia 78–183 × 12–24 μm, lageniform, neck 63–159 μm long, 9–15 μm wide and rounded apex, usually numerous, thin-walled and hyaline. Pileipellis hymeniderm, composed by subglobose cells, 17–49 μm in diameter, smooth. Veil combined with chains of globose, clavate and cylindrical cells, 20–49 × 7–25 μm, terminal cells often as elongate elements, partially thick-walled and slightly encrusted, abundant, dark yellow-brown (4C7) or hyaline. Mycelia yellow (3A8), hyphae, 2–4 μm wide. Clamp-connections absent.
