19. Genus Trogaspidia Ashmead 1899

Type species: Mutilla medon Smith 1855 (male), by original designation.

One hundred thirty-three species of Trogaspidia are distributed in the Oriental region, 104 species occur in the Afrotropical region, a few penetrate to the Australian region; 19 species occur in the Palaearctic region ( Lelej 2007). One species of this genus was recently discovered in Turkey ( Yildirim 2006).
