Published records: Borko et al. (2019).
Distribution: Endemic to Greece: Thessaly (MT).
Type material: Holotype: An intact male, NC341 ( OBBFUL-NC341 ), Melissotrypa Cave, Elassona , Thessaly.
Examined material: Four males and one female of lengths 8.8, 9.0, 9.2, 9.3, 9.6 mm; specimens are partially dissected and mounted on slides with voucher numbers NB934-NB938. All specimens are deposited in DBUL.
Remarks: Recently described species from Melissotrypa cave, at the central part of Greece. Co-occurs in the same system with N. jovanovici , N. lindbergi and an unknown species of the genus Bogidiella . The species is known only from its type locality and shows a preference for sulphidic waters, where it can be found in high numbers.
Etymology: The name is derived from the name of the amphipod genus Gammarus and refers to its Gammaru slike traits, notably its biramous 3rd uropods.
