The type series of this species its composed of two different species. The holotype is synonymized under Steirodon (Frontinus) rufolineatum Emsley, 1970 . The undescribed female “ allotype ” deposited in Piracicaba (Chamorro- Rengifo & Braun, 2010) belongs to Steirodon (Frontinus) fastigiosum (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878) .
