Etymology. The specific epithet refers to a researcher, naturalist and ecologist Augusto Ruschi.

Type locality. Holotype labeled: “ Brasil, Espírito Santo, Santa Teresa, Reserva Biológica Augusto Ruschi (19°54'20" S 40°33'44" W), 16/vii/2014. Silva, D.S.M. & Pereira, M.R. [licença SISBIO n° 37717]”. Holotype with genitalia removed. Allotype: the same data of the holotype.

Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from the other species of Zygoclistron by the following combination of characters: (i) Epiphallus with long and flat bridge, lophi sclerotized and ancorae straight ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D), (ii) oval sclerites rounded ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D), (iii) apodemes of cingulum reaching the endophallic apodemes ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 G), and (iv) subgenital plate with apex acute and moderately curved upwards ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C).

Description. Male Holotype ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A, 2B and 3A). Head: Antennae filiform with 20 flagellum reddish, longer than the thorax, scape and pedicel brown; fastigium evident in dorsal and lateral view, not exceeding the vertex in side view; dorsal whitish perpendicular band from fastigium to occipital region; globular eyes; whitish band across the genae to the facial carina; front, clypeus, and labrum brown; mandibular articulation blackish; head brown. Thorax: Median carina well marked; pronotum and mesonotum rugose, with two white bands on third dorsal and a continuum white band across the genae to episternum; pronotum without lateral carina, reddish with three transverse sulci; metazona lower than the prozona, without lateral carina and transverse sulcus; prosternal spine laterally compressed and rounded apex. Tegmina and wings with same size, green-olive to brown, with rounded apex, covering the whole abdomen. Fore and middle legs brown and hirsute; hind femur whitish on external side, robust and not surpassing the abdomen tip; hind tibia brown with 10 internal and eight external dorsal spines. Abdomen: Tergites and sternites hirsute, covered by a mixture of dark brown, light brown, opaque green and dark spots; tympanum present. Epiproct triangular ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 B); cerci long and slender, curved toward subgenital plate, with flattened apex ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 B, 4C), subgenital plate with apex curved and moderately directed upwards ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C). Phallic complex: Epiphallus with a long and flat bridge; ancorae straight; anterior projections developed; lophi sclerotized well-marked, with oval sclerites present ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Ectophallus with cingulum with long U-shaped and slender apodemes ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 G, 4F); zygoma arched; side sclerites moderately large ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 F). Endophallus with long aedeagus, arched up and well developed in dorsal valve of aedeagus ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 E, F and G).
