Type (lectotype, designated by Barkoudah 1962: 72 as the holotype):— ITALY. Ital. sept. Dit. Veron. in collibus supra pag. sol. cal. alt. 100– 200 m., September 1903, Porta s.n. ( FI barcode FI 001329 [digital image!, available at http://parlatore.msn.unifi.it/types]).

Nomenclatural notes:—The name G. glandulosa Porta (1910: 482) is illegitimate since being both nomenclaturally superfluous (Arts. 52.1–2 of the ICN) and a later homonym (Art. 53.1 of the ICN), while the name G. glandulosa Porta (1913: 25) is an isonym (Art. 6 Note 2 of the ICN). Typifying the name, Barkoudah (1962: 72) indicated as holotype a specimen at FI ( Italy: Verona, near Garda, ‘1930’ [sic!], Porta s.n.). Actually, this specimen is not a holotype, but a lectotype (see also McNeill 2014). Incidentally, the collection date reported by Barkoudah (1962: 72, ‘1930’) is clearly a mistake for 1903, as can be seen on the label of the specimen FI 001329, annotated by Barkoudah as “typus”. Another specimen in FI ( FI 001330), lacking a collection date (but possibly a duplicate of the former), is annotated by Barkoudah as “ holotype ”.
