Bathymetric distribution: 2–55 m —SW.
Geographical distribution: USA (North Carolina) to Brazil (MA to SP, SC)—WGD.
Remarks: Glycymeris americana (DeFrance, 1826) is listed by CTFB (2024), but Penna–Neme (1978) did not record G. americana from Brazil, based on Nicol (1953a). Rios (1994, 2009) recorded it as a synonym of G. undata .
