Bathymetric distribution: 45–86 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: West Indies, north Brazil (AP)—C.

Remarks: This species has been traditionally referred to as Nuculana egregia (Guppy, 1882) in the catalogs of Rios (1970, 1975, 1985, 1994, 2009). In the CTFB (2024), N. cestrota and N. egregia are considered as distinct species. Refs: Rios (1994, 2009).
