Bathymetric distribution: 0–130 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: USA (Massachusetts), Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina (Bahia Blanca)—WGD.

Remarks: This species is commonly referred from Brazil as Macoma uruguayensis (E. A. Smith, 1885), considered a synonym of M. tenta ( Huber 2015) .
