Remarks

The diagnostic features of this species, i.e., the male pereopod 7 and male pleopods 1 and 2, are illustrated in Fig. 2 View Fig from specimens collected in Gruta d’el Rey.

Distribution

Species endemic to Portugal where it is widely distributed, from Serra do Gerês in the north to the Algarve in the south.

Ecological notes

This species is both cavernicolous and endogean.
