Type material: Holotype: ♂, Indonesia, Lesser Sundas , Lomblen Isl., S Coast, Lamalera vill[age]. env., 100-400 m, 08- 14.11.2006, leg. Jakl (MWM) ; paratypes: 18 ♂, same locality and data (MWM).

Description. Male. Length of fore wing of holotype 12 mm (of paratype 9‾ 13 mm). Antennae rod-like, not pectinate. Thorax and abdomen covered with pale grey scales, patagia brown, tegulae pale grey. Fore wing grey, with pattern of small black strokes, more expressed on costal edge of wing, and two oblique transverse thin black bands. Hind wing dark grey with poorly expressed dark spot in discal area. Front edge of wing and basal area without pattern. Fringe on both pairs of wings mottled (pale between veins, dark near veins).

Male genitalia ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ) symmetric. Uncus wide with rounded apex; gnathos arms thick, short; gnathos small, covered with fine spikes; valve with sclerotized proximal area, distal fourth membranous, large semicircular crest with wrinkled inner edge on costal margin of valva; sacculus well expressed; transtilla process thin, short (in length equal to ¼ of valva), hook-bent, apex tapered; juxta tiny, with two long paddle-like lateral processes diverging at an angle of 90°; saccus semicircular, of medium size; phallus equal to valve in length, slightly bent in middle third, apex of phallus obliquely cut, vesica aperture in dorsoapical position, in length equal to 1/3 of phallus, vesica without cornuti.

Female unknown.

Diagnosis. Aholcocerus jakli is distinguished from other species of the genus by two features: colour of the hind wing (front edge and basal area without pattern) and the form of the uncus which is very wide, with a rounded apex.

Etymology. The new species is named after the collector of type specimens, entomologist Stanislav Jakl.
