Female measurements (mean, n = 2): HW: 3.76; HL: 3.58; CL: 1.06; PO: 1.67; PW: 3.77; PL: 3.79; EW: 4.61; EL: 4.93; ELS: 2.78.

Male. Body robust, parallel-sided. Black, dull, elytra with dark orange pubescence, maxillary palpi brown, apex of last segment slightly paler, tibiae appearing yellow due to dense yellow pubescence, tarsi brown.

Head ( Fig. 5A View FIGURES 5 ) large, nearly square, moderately wider than long and slightly widened backward, sides almost straight; eyes small, oval, well protruding, but not from lateral outline of head, longitudinal diameter distinctly shorter than post-ocular area; base distinctly deeply and broadly emarginate, posterior angles obviously protruding backward with apices rounded; surface closely covered with coarse and rugose punctures, with short yellow pubescence. Antennae ( Fig. 5D View FIGURES 5 ) short and stout, hardly reaching midlength of pronotum, moderately thickened, last segment distinctly longer than wide, almost oval-shaped, ratios of antennomere length (1 to 11) as follows: 26:17:18:17:18:18:19:18:19:17:28.

Pronotum nearly horseshoe-shaped and convex, slightly longer than broad, and as broad as head, widest at about anterior two-fifths; sides parallel anteriorly before widest part, gently rounded and narrowed at anterior four-fifths, gradually retracted posteriorly; anterior margin obliquely emarginate on each side, anterior angles obtuse, posterior angles widely rounded; surface closely covered with rugose punctures, less coarse than on head, with impunctate midline, becoming indistinct and almost obsolete at about midlength; pubescence similar to that on head. Scutellum triangular, densely covered with black and orange velvety pubescence.

Elytra subquadrate, a little dilated posteriad, longer than wide, longer and distinctly wider than pronotum; sides straight, posterior margin markedly emarginate medially; surface covered with coarse and dense umbilicate punctures, with orange pubescence.

Abdomen elongate and gradually narrowed posteriad; surface finely and densely punctate, 3–5 th tergites with patches of yellow pubescence laterally, patches gradually decreasing in size towards apex, 7 th tergite with transverse belt of golden yellow pubescence near anterior margin; posterior margin of 8 th sternite ( Fig. 5B View FIGURES 5 ) triangularly excised medially, 10 th tergite ( Fig. 5C View FIGURES 5 ) narrowly triangular, apical half with numerous long setae along margin; apex of 9 th sternite ( Fig. 5E View FIGURES 5 ) slightly emarginate medially, apical margin bearing long setae.

Legs robust, with dense golden yellow pubescence, protarsus strongly dilated, with brownish yellow pubescence.

Aedeagus ( Figs. 5H–K View FIGURES 5 ) almost symmetrical; median lobe elongate and middle portion weakly sclerotized, with basal part large and globular, in ventral view median lobe slightly narrowed at midlength, and widened before rounded apical margin; in lateral view distinctly curved ventrad in profile; parameres ( Fig. 5H View FIGURES 5 ) degenerate and separate, very fine and slender, each with two short setae apically.

Female. Second gonocoxite ( Fig. 5G View FIGURES 5 ) with minute stylus bearing two equally long apical setae, basal half of second gonocoxite with long dark setae. 10 th tergite ( Fig. 5F View FIGURES 5 ) triangular, narrow, apex triangular, apical half of 10 th tergite with numerous equally long setae on surface and along margin.

Distribution. China (Beijing, Gansu).
