Distribution and Ecology. In the East Sea P. brevifiliformis was found only in the coastal waters of Sakhalin Island ( 46º10´N) at a depth of 40 m (muddy pebble) ( Fig.1 ); it is also known from the Sea of Okhotsk ( 40–205 m), Pacific waters of the Kuril ( 47–105 m) and Aleutian ( 510–700 m) Islands ( Chavtur 1983).
