The genus Mogrus Simon, 1882 View in CoL is represented in Algeria by only two species: Mogrus flavescentemaculatus ( Lucas, 1846) View in CoL which is endemic and known only from Oran ( Lucas 1846) and Mogrus neglectus (Simon, 1868) View in CoL that is known only from Sétif ( Simon 1899).

Previous records in Algeria: This is a new record of the species for Algeria.
Distribution: Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Yemen, United Arab Emirates ( World Spider Catalog 2024). This record is considered as the most western locality of the species in the World.
Comments: M. logunouvi was captured near the River of Kef Doukhane in Ghardaïa, from retreats built on Acanthorrhinum ramosissimum (Coss. & Durieu) Rothm. that bears naked and thorny branches .
