Previous records in Algeria: Known only from Algiers ( Lucas 1846). The presence of this species is strongly underestimated.

Distribution: Southern Europe, Africa, Middle East, Pakistan, India, China, Japan. Introduced to Cuba, Dominican Rep., Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil ( World Spider Catalog 2024).
