Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: NB, ON, QC. USA: DC, FL, GA, LA, ME (NSR), NC, NH (NSR), NJ, NY, VA.
Collection and Habitat data. The ME and NH specimens were collected primarily by flight intercept traps, and also taken from pig dung in a pasture. Adults found from July to September. In Canada (ON) collected by a Malaise trap in a hardwood forest ( Brunke et al. 2012). Also found on a dead buzzard, rotten bird eggs, and live mushrooms on a fallen tree in unspecified habitats ( Génier 1989). NB specimens were found in rotten bolete mushrooms in an old jack pine forest; one was also taken from a Lindgren funnel trap in a trembling aspen stand ( Webster et al. 2016).

Strafford Co.: Spruce Hole , 3 mi SW Durham, 29.VII.1986, S.C. Sherman, pig dung in pasture, 1 male .
