Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: ON, QC. USA: AR, DC, FL, IL, MD, NC, NH (NSR), NJ, NY, VA, WV.
Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were captured by flight intercept traps in a protected kettle bog from July to August, with one record from December. Elsewhere found in hardwood forests, in carrion (squirrel), human feces, leaf litter, and rotting mushrooms ( Génier 1989, Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
Material. USA, New Hampshire, Strafford Co.: Spruce Hole , 3 mi SW Durham, 2–9.VII.1987, 1 male ; 10– 23.VII.1987, 7 males, 2 females; 7–20.VIII.1987, 1 female; 4–15.XII.1987, 1 male, D.S. Chandler, FIT.
