Distribution. Palearctic, adventive in North America. Canada: ON, QC. USA: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WV, WI.

Collection and Habitat data. NH specimens were captured sparingly in May, July, and September; a window trap collected one specimen. Elsewhere found mainly in open habitats, in human feces, and at animal carcasses such as fish, deer, possum, snake, and skunk ( Klimaszewski 1984, Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
