Distribution.

This is the first record of the species from Namibia, but numerous representatives of the same BIN were previously recorded from South Africa (BOLD: ACK 2655, Freeman 1956; Freeman and Cranston 1980; Curtis 1991; Harrison 2004; Ashe and O’Connor 2012). The species is otherwise known from the multiple countries in the Palaearctic, Nearctic and Oriental regions. This is the first Afrotropical record (although the species is recorded from Palaearctic parts of the African continent, i. e. Algeria) ( Ashe and O’Connor 2012).
