Genus FOLSOMINA Denis, 1931
Folsomina sp.
QC Turnbull 2014
Remarks: There is only one known species of the genus in the Holarctic: F. onychiurina Denis, 1931 , originally described from Costa Rica. It is “widely distributed all over the tropics… recorded in Nepal, Japan, southern provinces of China and Europe” ( Potapov 2001, p. 265) and rather common in the USA ( Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, 1998). Its presence in southern parts of Canada, especially in artificial substrata, is plausible.
