Genus OUDEMANSIA Schött, 1893
Oudemansia sp.
QC Turnbull 2014
Remarks: This record is almost definitely incorrect. The genus Oudemansia with a single Nearctic species, O. georgia Christiansen & Bellinger, 1980 , “is known only from the shores of the Indian Ocean and northern and western Pacific Ocean” and considered to have “strictly littoral habitat” ( Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, p. 294). Turnbull’s thesis was based on material collected “from a black spruce (Picea mariana (Mill.) Britton, Sterns & Poggenb.) forest east of Lac St. Jean, Quebec ”, i.e. rather far from the Pacific coast.
