Remarks: Mills’s record (1934) of Isotoma binoculata Axelson, 1903 , was based on McClure’s collection from the vicinity of Churchill, MB. This species, now known as Cryptopygus binoculatus , was recently found in Michigan, USA ( Bernard & Snider 1994). Nevertheless, Canadian and earlier Nearctic records probably belong to ekmani ( Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, p. 611) .

General distribution: Holarctic.
