Material examined. EAST TIMOR. East of Atauro Island , 08°13’48”S 125°36’56”E, outer reef, coral reef slope, dead coral, 16 m depth, 20 Sep 2012, coll. A. Murray & P.A. Hutchings, 1 spec. ( AM W.53027) GoogleMaps .
Habitat. Occuring as cryptic species in calcareous algae and sand from 9 to 244 m depth ( San Martín & Hutchings 2006), as well as among dead corals.
Distribution. Australia (Queensland, New South Wales; San Martín & Hutchings 2006), Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo; Fukuda et al. 2015). First record for East Timor.
