Material examined. EAST TIMOR. East of Cape Fatucama , 300 m off Jesus Backside Beach, 08°13’48”S 125°36’56”E, on Caulerpa geminata 16 m depth, 20 Sep 2012, coll. L.E. Hughes, 2 specs. ( AM W.53033) GoogleMaps .

Habitat. In amongst dead corals, coarse sand, algae ( Álvarez-Campos et al. 2015a).

Distribution. Arabian Sea ( Socotra), Venezuela, Caribbean Sea ( Cuba), Australia (Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales), Philippines (Luzón), New Zealand ( San Martín 1992; San Martín & Bone 2001; Álvarez-Campos et al. 2015a; Lucas et al. 2020). First record for East Timor.
