Lectotype (Lassen in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 463. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 897.6 ( LINN) .

Current name: Hymenocarpos hispanicus Lassen View in CoL ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: López González (in Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 55: 161. 1997) discussed the original elements for the name but did not designate a type. There have been complications surrounding the correct name for this taxon - see Lassen (in Willdenowia 16: 111. 1986; 16: 443. 1987) and Benedí (in Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 56: 182. 1998).
