Pyrene (Scabrella) sp.— Bałuk 1995: 238, pl. 32, figs 1–2.
Discussion. Bałuk (1995) placed two specimens from Korytnica in Scabrella Sacco, 1890 (established in Sacco 1890b), which are characterized by a turreted early teleoconch and wide spaced axial ribs. In our opinion, the specimens are not congeneric. The specimen illustrated by Bałuk (1995) as pl. 32 fig. 2 is reminiscent of Costoanachis latecostata ( Boettger, 1902) but differs from that species in its much higher protoconch, higher spire whorls and opisthocline axial ribs. The placement in Scabrella Sacco, 1890 , is rejected due to the lack of spiral sculpture.
Distribution in Central Paratethys. Badenian (middle Miocene): Carpathian Foredeep: Korytnica ( Poland).
