Material examined. Kenya, 2 females, Mfangano Island , Nyanza Province, altitude 1300 m, (El-Banhawy) .

Female: Dorsal shield imbricate, 320 long, 185 wide, with five pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 14, j3 25, j4, j5, j6 16, J2 21, J5 9, z2 17, z3 20, z418, z5 16, Z4 25, Z5 46, s4, s6 23, S2, S4 25, S5 18, r3 22, R1 20, JV5 32. Setae Z 4, Z5, JV5 knobbed, Z4, Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield, distances between St-St III 62 , St II-St II 58 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 62 wide. Ventri-anal shield 95 long, 65 wide, with a pair of very small pre-anal pores close to each other and four pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, JV3, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Chelicera indiscernible. Spermatheca calyx long tube, 25 long, 2 wide near atrium, 7 wide near vesicle, flared distally, atrium small. Macrosetae knobbed, Sge IV 14 , Sti IV 14 , St IV 20 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/1, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Remarks. The female holotype and a male paratype were collected from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, April 12, 1955 (P. A. J. Ryke) ( Van der Merwe, 1968). In the Kenyan specimens, the ventri-anal pores are very small and the macrosetae on leg IV are short.
